Frequently Asked Questions

What is an eSIM?

A SIM card built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic chip, you scan a QR code and the plan installs itself.

Do I lose my own number?

No. Your physical SIM stays in the phone and keeps your number for calls and WhatsApp. The eSIM only carries data.

Can I make calls or send SMS?

Not on our plans — they are data only. Calls and messages work normally over WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram and similar apps.

When does my plan start?

When your eSIM connects to a network at the destination for the first time, not when you buy it. So you can install it before you fly without worrying about the clock.

How fast will I get my QR code?

Usually within a couple of minutes of payment, by email. If it has not arrived, check spam, then contact us and we will resend it immediately.

Can I use hotspot or tethering?

Yes, on all our plans.

What happens when my data runs out?

The connection stops. Where a top-up is available for your destination you can buy one; otherwise you can purchase a new plan.

Can I install the same eSIM on two phones?

No. An eSIM profile can be installed once, on one device. If you erase it, it cannot be reinstalled.

Is there a subscription?

No. Every plan is a one-time prepaid purchase. Nothing renews automatically.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, if you have not installed the eSIM — within 180 days. Once it is activated and data has been used it cannot be refunded. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will it work everywhere in the country?

Coverage matches our partner network's coverage in that country, which is normally very good in cities and along main routes, and thinner in remote areas.

Are there countries where this will not work?

Some countries restrict international travel eSIMs. Where a restriction applies to a destination we sell, we state it on that product page.
